The 660 km route passes through Jaipur and the Aravalli hills, with the final stretch involving hilly terrain and narrower roads. Old city areas near the lakes have particularly tight lanes. Old city vs modern area — old city deliveries need a tempo transfer, adding slightly to cost.
Floor level — high-floor carry adds labour.
Timing — avoid peak tourist season (October–February) for better vehicle availability.
Fatehpura & old city/lakeside: Narrow winding lanes near Pichola and Fateh Sagar lakes. Large trucks cannot enter. We use smaller tempo vehicles for last-mile delivery, planned in advance.
Hiran Magri & Pratap Nagar: Modern residential areas with good road access. Standard truck delivery works well.
Shobhagpura & Goverdhan Vilas: Growing areas with newer construction. Good access from the main highway.
Bhuwana & Sukher: Outskirts with a mix of residential and semi-rural areas. Accessible but further from the city center.
The final 100 km stretch from Rajsamand to Udaipur passes through the Aravalli hills — winding roads with gradients, sharp curves, and variable width. This section demands the same hill-route packing standards we use for Dehradun: ratchet straps instead of ropes, foam buffers between furniture, fragile items loaded in the truck’s centre, and controlled driving speed through the ghat sections.
Old city last-mile challenge: If your Udaipur address is near the lakes or in the old city (Fatehpura, City Palace area, Ambrai), the lanes are too narrow for anything larger than a small tempo. We plan this in advance — the main truck stops at an accessible point, and a pre-booked smaller vehicle handles the final delivery to your door. No roadside scrambling on moving day.
